SBR Formula One WINS BIG at Willowbrook Saddle Series!

We are very excited for this weekend...the Willowbrook Awards Banquet where he will be receiving several awards from a western show saddle to monogrammed blankets a ice chest/cooler and who knows what else for all kinds of year end hi-points he won. Can't wait! I will post pictures. For now here is a picture from that one of thier shows.

Im A Cowledge Star Bred for 2011 Foal & Barrel Racing

My favorite little mare Im A Cowledge Star was confirmed in foal today at 15 days and will check her again in 2 weeks. YAHOO!! Here are some new pictures of her that are recent...actually the last one is the day she was bred now that I remember.

Breeding Season 2010 is Kicking Off!

Breeding season is starting off and 2010 is already proving to be a very busy and exciting year and we look forward to all the 2011 foals! Two of my mares are being bred this last week and this week and the other is due in about 30-days and we have several outside mares booked early already. Thank you for that and we wish everyone lots of success this breeding and show season....lets make 2010 a great year for everyone!

SBR Formula One cleans house at Willowbrook Saddle Series Shows

I need to get back to updating my blog! So here it goes...

Hi Horse Friends!

A great show for SBR Formula One and Team Buckwheat yesterday at the final Willowbrook Saddle Series show! It was double judged and pointed and I think he got around 18+ firsts (times two since it was double judged), and the rest seconds and one third out of 23 classes. End of day awards he and Leannah walked away with Hi Point English Adult, Hi Point English Horse, Hi Point Western Adult, Hi-Point Western Horse, and overall Hi Point All-Around Horse. In that the goodies ranged from embroidered hay carriers and bridle bags and a vest, a leather engraved halter, bridle hooks, lead ropes, brushes, grooming bucket, two saddle blankets, stall plaque, hoof black, ligament, boot conditioner, coffee cups, spurs, bungee tie, and good grief I can't remember all the items.

That was the final show for the series and he is up for lots of year end stuff like saddles and all kinds of fun stuff for hi-points, so we will find out what all at banquet in 2 weeks. :) The previous shows he did fantastic as well and the results for those can be seen on his website www.sbrformulaone.com

There was a photographer for part of the day and I took some pictures on my phone that you can see on our facebook and I will post some on the website after I order some and get some off my real camera.

Ranch Updates

I really need to get with it and be more regular with my blog updates. I have just been so into Facebook these days.

The foals are now being weaned and doing well. Experiencing getting baths, regular leading and seeing things, and being handled a lot. I look forward to them going to show homes at some point. They will make great performance horses.

The new barn is coming along. It's been a long process but coming closer to being complete. Buckwheat will like his new stall and stuff I am sure.

Buckwheat continues to do well at all the shows and is up for some year end awards for local circuits. He cleaned house at the Western States Congress in Idaho. We hope to go back to the ABRA World or the Congress or some other large ABRA shows in Oregon or New Mexico next year or the following year.
